Granting Admin Access To Google Tag Manager

10-Feb-2019 22:00:01

These are the steps to take when granting access to your Google Tag Manager account to a third-party

Visit https://tagmanager.google.com/

google-tag-manager

Log in as an admin.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Admin on the top menu bar
  2. Click on User Management
  3. On the next screen (Account User Management) click NEW
  4. Add in the following email address: jim.banks@spadesmedia.com
  5. Set the Account Permissions to Admin and any Container Permissions to Admin also.

If you don’t have Google Tag Manager set up, follow the instructions to set up a new account and then follow the steps above.

Using Google Tag Manager allows you to replace hard coded “tags” with code from the Google Tag Manager code and you are able to set tags, triggers and variables to define what third-party scripts run, on which pages and under which conditions.

Your developers should be able to set this up in a short amount of time
